We had the formal inauguration of vocational classes by AROH foundation for AID Prayas community women today. There was a good response from the community and we enrolled around 15-16 women including young girls like Juhi for the classes. The classes will be starting from Monday (8th Dec., 2008) and will take place on alternate days in the afternoon from 1:00 P.M to 3:00 P.M. They will be charging Rs 10 as admission fee and Rs 50 on a monthly fees from the women. They'll be conducting sewing and stiching classes to start with and provide certification of training at the end of six months after a test.
AID Prayas our (AID NOIDA Chapter) flagship project is an AID India supported community development project at Sector 16, NOIDA. We are in a process of engaging with the community through education to guide associated families towards a more value driven and quality life for themselves and their children.
